Joey Sterling

Joey C. Sterling, 61, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the Blanchard Valley Hospital.

Joey was born on March 5, 1958 in Findlay, Ohio to Andrew and Vera (Finerd) Sterling. Joey is survived by his daughters Jessica Sterling of Fostoria, Jennifer Rose (Jason) Rhoads of Vine Grove, Kentucky his mother Vera Sterling of Findlay, grandchildren: Sarah (Rafael) Martinez, Jakob and Gabriel Rhoads and Elizabeth “Ellie” Ostrander; siblings: Jerry (Debbi) Sterling of Findlay,  John Sterling of Findlay, Judy (Bud) Haas of Findlay and Jeanna (Chris) Kolhoff of Findlay, a host of loving nieces and nephews and his beloved canine companion Chula. He was preceded in death by his father Andrew Sterling.

Joey was a 1976 graduate of Findlay High School and a member of the Parkview Christian Church. Joey received his journeyman card and work as a mechanic for Kuss then Cooper Tire and Oscar Meyer. Joey enjoyed riding his motorcycle and listening to blues and classical rock and playing a good game of pool. He was an avid Tennessee Titans fan and was a jokester who never met a stranger.

Visitation for Joey will be on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 PM in the HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840. A Celebration of Joey’s life will be on Thursday, January 9, 2020  at 3:00 PM in the Parkview Christian Church, 15035 State Route 12, Findlay, Ohio 45840, Pastor Joel Johnson, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be gifted in Joey’s honor to the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio.
