Maxine Bishop

Maxine Bishop, 95, of McComb, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 at the Heritage, Findlay.

Maxine was born on January 15, 1924 in McComb, Ohio to the late Roy and Faye (Snavely) Miller. She married the love of her life Rolland Bishop on April 21, 1946 and he preceded her in death on March 20, 1994. Maxine is survived by her daughters Pam (Dick) Shoemaker of McComb and Sally (Leonard) Burris of Findlay; seven grandchildren: Brian (Nancy) Shoemaker, Kerri Shoemaker, Jennifer (Cory) Eberhard, Justin (Katie) Burris, Michael (Audrey) Todd, Jeff (Julie) Todd, Sara (Jon) Hart, 21 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Cathy Todd and brothers Jack and Gene Miller.

Maxine was a graduate of McComb High School and a former member of the Deweyville Church of God and now a member of the McComb Church of Christ. Maxine cherished the time she spent with her friends and especially her family, where she made sure she attended all of their extracurricular activities and extended the love only a grandma could. Maxine had strong faith in her Lord and Savior, which will leave a legacy to all who knew and loved her.

Visitation for Maxine will be on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 4:00-7:00 PM in the HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 370 Park Dr S., McComb, Ohio 45858. Maxine’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home, where visitation will begin at 9:30 AM, with Pastor Rick Broughton, officiating. Interment will follow in the McComb Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be gifted in Maxine’s honor to Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) or to the McComb Church of Christ.
