Robert Yeager

Robert “Bob” Yeager, 68 of Bowling Green passed away August 29th at Wood County Hospital following a lengthy illness.  He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy (Horner) Yeager; sons: Toby of Weston; Rob of Bowling Green, and daughter, April of Reston, VA.  He also leaves behind his sister, Rev. Pam Maloney Pittsburgh, PA; his in-laws: Roger and Nan Horner of Bowling Green: Tom and KoAnn Rutter of Bowling Green, Terry and Karen Horner of Canal Fulton, Dan and Bonnie Horner of Bowling Green; a niece, Heather (Eric) Grattan of Cleveland, a nephew, Jim Maloney of Hermitage, PA.  Bob was born on November 11, 1950 in Fostoria Hospital to his late parents, Ray and Maurine (Risser) Yeager.  One of his proudest moments growing up was when he won a contest as “batboy for a day” with the Cleveland Indians.  He was a standout in basketball during his BGHS years which he also ran cross-country. He loved music and was an accomplished musician in both voice and guitar and won many prestigious awards. Bob loved and fostered animals and leaves behind his rescue pets.   He married the love of his life (Kathy) on October 18, 1975. He was a man of God who proudly professed his faith in Christ.  He was a member of Higher Ground Ministries, Fostoria.  Visitation will be held at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, 1460 West Wooster, Bowling Green, OH on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by a graveside committal services at 2:00 PM in The Riverview Cemetery in West Millgrove, OH.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Rev. Bill Maloney.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family to offset funeral expenses.  Bob will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.   Bob asked the Lord for healing and his prayers were answered.
