Elmer Scott III Obituary

Elmer H. Scott III, 75, of Liberty Center, Ohio passed away June 14, 2022. Elmer was born on November 18, 1946 to the late Elmer H. Scott II and Evelyn (Sabory) Scott in Toledo, Ohio. He married Dorothea VanHoy and she preceded him in death on June 10, 2020.

Elmer is survived by his children Melissa and Elmer Harvey Scott IV; stepsons: Richard Shope, Ronald (Michelle) Shope; sisters Janet Scott, Vivian Field, brother Harry W. Scott; a host of loving grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothea, and sister Beverly Hornsby.

Elmer proudly served his country during Vietnam in the US Marine Corp and received the Purple Heart. He worked as a home remodeler for many years. Elmer was an avid fisherman, hunter, enjoyed camping and boating.
