Eva Saneholtz Obituary

Eva Carolyn Saneholtz, 91, of rural Liberty Center, Ohio died peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Fairlawn Assisted Living in Archbold where she received such loving care. She was born July 8, 1932 to the late Rollie and Mary (Linthicum) Silveus. She married Burdette Saneholtz on May 27, 1951 at Liberty Chapel in Liberty Center and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2003.

Eva was a 1950 graduate of Liberty Center High School. She was a lifelong member of Liberty Chapel where she served on various committees and was an avid prayer warrior for all those needing prayer up until her passing.

Eva was a homemaker and worked beside her husband on the family farm. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and was a master of jigsaw puzzling. She enjoyed calling Bingo numbers for family gatherings and we all enjoyed her antics. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and following all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s activities.

She is survived by her children, Sharon (Terry) Miller, Rita (Dan) Bare, Ronald (Jeanette) Saneholtz, Roger (Brenda) Saneholtz, Susan (Andy) Miller all of Liberty Center; son-in-law, Tom Speiser of Napoleon; grandchildren Rex (Kylee) Miller, Ryan (Kara) Miller, Raegan (Joe) Keller, Scott (Kylie) Speiser, Jason (Kara) Speiser, Shaina (Nick) Proudfoot, Kate Bare, Kelsey (Sean) Ford, Zach (Hannah) Bare, Jared (Erica) Bare, Justin (Kayla) Saneholtz, Hayley (Conner) Strauss, Hayden Saneholtz, Hanson Saneholtz, Brooke (Kyle) Kleeberger, Kyler (Emily) Miller, and 28 great grandchildren and 2 more arriving in the fall.

Also surviving are sisters-in-law Arita Silveus and Elnora Bechtol, brothers-in-law Milton Saneholtz, Phil (Linda) Saneholtz, and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Speiser, infant sister, Ruby, and brothers, James and Kenneth Silveus.

Mom was most excited about entering the gates of heaven and first “touching the garment of Jesus and his nail scarred hands…he did that for me and for us.” Then, she wanted to see her loving husband and daughter Beverly and her family and friends, including her dear sister-in-law, Phyllis.

In honoring our mother’s wishes, a funeral service will be held privately with her loving family at Liberty Chapel Global Methodist Church with Pastor Brad Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Young Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Liberty Chapel Global Methodist Church, Liberty Center Lifewise Academy, or the Liberty Center Public Library.
