George Martin

George Martin, 70, of Findlay, Ohio passed away on September 13, 2022. 

George was born on June 4, 1952 in Findlay, Ohio to the late George and Margaret (Boutwell) Martin. He married Diane Apple on October 4, 2002 and she survives in Findlay. Also surviving are his children: Lisa (Regie) Hayes of Arlington, Heidi (Jonathan) Littler of Elida, Christy Evans of Dunkirk, Nichole Musselman of Alger, Michelle (Wadell) Simmons of Toledo, Megan Martin of North Baltimore, Mark (Jalon) Martin of Harrod and Ann (Zachary) Brenneman of Findlay; 25 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and siblings: Nancy Corder, Thomas Lonyo and Robert Martin. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Thom and siblings: Margie Kunkel and Betty Angus.

George was a 1971 graduate of Findlay High School. He worked for the UAW Local 2075 as a welder and retired from General Dynamics in Lima. He was an avid sports fan, always cheering on his Michigan Wolverines, Pittsburg Steelers and in Nascar, Mark Martin. He also enjoyed spending time fishing. George was a soft spoken, caring and kind hearted individual who would help anyone in a time of need. He enjoyed being around people, and was a real jokester. But, most of all, George loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.

Visitation for George will be on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 10:00 until the time of his Celebration of Life Service at 11:30 AM in the Hanneman Funeral Home, 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay, Ohio 45840. The family request those attending the visitation and services to come causal dressed.
