Michael Joseph Molyet

Michael Joseph Molyet, 76, formerly of Fremont, passed away on March 2, 2024. He was born in Fremont, OH to the late Donald and Rita (Ochs) Molyet. Michael was a 1965 graduate of St. Joseph Central Catholic High School in Fremont. He continued his education at Bowling Green State University, where he received his Bachelor's degree in 1973. On May 3, 1974, Michael married his late wife, Elaine (Rudes) Molyet.
 
Michael spent most of his career in Human Resources working at Morton Salt and Central Soya. His compassion and dedication touched the lives of many throughout his time in the field. He found great fulfillment in his work, always striving to make a positive impact on those around him.

In his free time Michael enjoyed boating and traveling with wife Elaine, tinkering around in his wood shop, cruising around in his convertible Mustang and spending time with his many different German Shepard companions over the years.

Michael will always be remembered for his kindness, warm smile, and the love he shared with those around him. May he rest in peace, knowing his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his son; Jason (Ann-Marie) Molyet, sisters-in-law; Diane Molyet and Eileen Molyet, several nieces and nephews, and his faithful dog, Buck.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife, and brothers; Jeff Molyet and Bryan Molyet. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund. Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 12, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm at Hanneman-Keller Funeral Home 416 South Arch Street, Fremont Ohio. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 11:30am at Sacred Heart Church, 550 Smith Road, Fremont, Ohio 43420. Burial will take place following Mass at St Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Fremont Ohio.
