Richard R Payne

Richard R. Payne, peacefully passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 70. He was born on September 4, 1953, in Toledo, OH, to the late Charles and Leona (Goff) Payne.  He married Janett Perry on January 25, 1994 and she survives him.  

Richard is also survived by his children: Brian Payne, Leona Perry, and Kimberly Payne; step-children: Jeremy Kerr and Carrie Bowers; 17 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and brother Joe Payne.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Edward.

Richard graduated from Sylvania High School in 1972 and last worked as a machinist at John Manville, retiring in 2019. He was an active member of the Eagles #2118 and the Moose #3000 and cherished every moment spent with his fellow members. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 11:00 to 1:00 at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster Street, Bowling Green.  Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
