Robert Houck Obituary

Robert Houck, 74, of McComb, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

Robert was born Feb. 20, 1949, in Findlay, to the late Wilbur and Clarabelle (Wise) Houck. He married the love of his life, Sue Ellen Long, on July 30, 1969, in McComb and she survives in McComb.

Robert is also survived by his son, Patrick Houck of McComb; sister, Mary Langstaff; brothers and sister in-law, Pam and Allen DeJulio and Joseph and Joya Long and Mike and Jane Stall. He was preceded in death by his son, Dane Houck; sister, Carolyn Silvers; brother-in-law, Alan Langstaff; niece, Bobbi Jo Karpuleon; nephew, Gabriel Bickford; father-in-law, Joseph Long Sr; and mother in-law, Frances (Rader) Long.

Robert proudly served his country in U.S. Army, stationed in South Korea. When Robert returned to the United States, he was stationed in Fort Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma. He was a government certified welder at Lima General Dynamics and later at Workbrau in Findlay. Robert enjoyed taking trips with his loving wife, Sue, especially to Tennessee and being on Lake Erie where he loved to fishing. He took great pride in his yard, always keeping it immaculate. Robert was a man of great faith and loved the Lord. Robert was also loving husband and father who will be missed by all who knew him.

Services for Robert will be private.
