Wallace "Wally" Heminger

Wallace "Wally" Heminger Jr., 80, of Fremont, passed away at his home on September 12, 2023.
Wally was born February 9, 1943 in Attica, OH to the late Wallace Heminger Sr. and Helen Frisch.

Wally had a life long passion for all things racing. He could be seen on the track in either car number 27 or 44. In 2010, he was inducted into Fremont Speedway Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his fiancé, Norma Sager; son, Jerry (Kim) Heminger; brother, Larry Heminger; and grandchildren, Adam Heminger, Heather Heminger, Michael Heminger, Emilee Valle, and Jessica Valle.

Wally was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Joyce Valle, and sister, Caroline Yates.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fremont Speedway:Hall of Fame.   Visitation will be held on Monday September 18, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time of his funeral service at 12:00 pm at Hanneman-Keller Funeral Home 416 South Arch Street, Fremont Ohio. Burial will immediately follow service at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Clyde.
